Wool is a fabric derived from woven yarn made from animal hair or fur. It has a long history of being used by many cultures across the globe to weave warm clothing, bedding and blankets.
While most wool bedding manufactured in the U.S. is made from sheep’s wool, a variety of different types of animal hair can be used to make wool products including goats, alpacas, llamas, camels, and rabbits. Each of these animal hair types offer varying degrees of softness, thermal abilities and density.
